Abstract
1. Prevalence rate ; The average annual prevalence rate was 1.51% ranging from 3.5% to 0.45% the prevalence rate was sharply decreased since 1969. the prevalence rate among those who had no symptoms at the time of registration was 1.31%, but the patients prevalence rate for the confirm from outside was 39.52%. 2. Residential area; The prevalence rate of the clients from Seoul, other cities and rural areas were 1.28%, 3.51% and 5.09 respectively. 3. Age ; There was no cancer patients below the age of 20. The total prevalence rate of the cancer by age was increased by the progress of the age. But the prevalence rate of in situ cancer showed the peak at the age of 50-59. 4. Marital Status; The prevalence rate in married women was 1.3% but the rate in seperated women, widows and divorced women were about 4 to 5 times higher than the married 5. Parity; The age adjusted prevalence rate was increased by the increment of the number of parities. 6. Age of Marriage; the prevalence rate among those who married at the age before 20 was 4 times higher than those married later than 20 years old. 7. Duration of coital life; The length of the coital life was positively related to the prevalence and the cervical cancer. 8. Cervical findings on visit the prevalence rate among those who had cervical erosion was about 5 times higher than those who had not 9. The client registration to cancer detecting center was mostly motivated by the friends advice (42.77%) mass media (8.79%) and by the general practioners (2-5%)
